Fire Extinguisher Service Engineer

 

Lancashire Fire Protection Ltd were established in 2011 and due to continued growth seek to recruit a Fire Extinguisher Service Engineer to join our team.  This field-based role services clients throughout the North West.  Successful candidates must be diligent self-starters that can work off their own initiative.  Experience is advantageous but not essential as full training can be provided.

Due to the nature of work, an application will be made for an enhanced DBS Certificate on commencement of employment.  We are an equal opportunities employer.

 

Responsibilities:

• Conducting scheduled annual fire extinguisher services at clients’ premises

• Surveying buildings for fire hazards and specifying the correct type and quantity of fire fighting equipment accordingly

• Installing and maintaining Fire Extinguishers to British Standards

• Providing site certification following service

• Managing vehicle stock

 

Essential Requirements:

• Customer service and sales skills

• Ability to manage own work schedule without supervision

• Good abilities in verbal and written communication

• Practical skills using drills and hand tools

• A basic understanding of Health and Safety at work

• Full clean driving licence
